Not seen 100's yet.
This whole month been 6am to 6pm non-stop ladders, stairs, walking on gravel and turning big ass valves. Finally got our ultra low sulfer diesel unit making good product. But everywhere I walk on the unit, I can feel the heat coming off the pipes. Up to 600 degrees. So fricking hot the 90's feel good.

On a cooler side, the ride home had a 2-3 minute 20+ degree drop to mid 70's. Wind whipped up and wooped ass on a lotta trees. Thought I was gonna be in a tornado.

Today's supposed to be 102 here in Newport News, VA. It's 83 in my back yard at 8am, so I believe it. The heat index should be around 112.

Hershey, PA is supposed to get up to 97 and I'm sure the heat index will be over 100. According to weather.com, right now @ 9:30 its 85 & feels like 90. At 9 freaking 30 am in PA! :shock:

The guy at the farmers market this morning said that at 5 am his thermometer was reading 87.

105 heat index here today with 98 degrees and I'm leaving in about an hour to hit range balls and practice putting for a few hours. I'm still an animal.

99 with hades-knows-what for a heat index. And, I just got in from 4 hours of lawn work. Had to stop when I started shaking and getting goose-bumps.

i have a couple little window size ac units, but it would just eat me up to have them run 24/7 in this kind of heat
when i have my exhaust fan on, it would just suck all the cooler air out anyways
i jerked one out, set on floor next to the lathe with two box fans behind it blowing that cool air on me
and drinking lots of ice water
seems like it was just a little while ago when i was freezing my gonads off out there :roll:

I lived in Tucson for my first 18 years of life. 110-115 is manageable with 10% humidity. 105 with 80% humidity is horrendous.

Agreed. I did 3 years in Tucson awhile back, and while it was hot...it was MUCH easier to deal with. That whole "it's a dry heat" thing really DOES make a difference.

I'm 2.5 hours north of you right now, and we're sharing in the same pain. I heard grumblings of 111 degree heat indexes yesterday, and I believe it. It's a soul-crushing heat...especially when the air is so heavy with humidity that you can almost see it in front of you.

Give me 75 degrees and sunny...with a light breeze...all day long.

Hell...give me Baghdad heat of 122 with 4% humidity over this B.S. !!!
