As good a place as any. A lot of you might know I sing a lot of Karaoke, but may never have actually heard me. Last night was a live band karaoke contest finale (the qualifying has been going for a two months). Karaoke is tough enough, but if you've never sung with live music behind you, it can be pretty intimidating. Long and short, I won!!

At some point, the videos will be on Youtube. All the contestants were very good. I actually hadn't gone to any of the other qualifying nights due to travel so when I heard them during warm ups, I was very impressed. You can't normally say that on normal Karaoke nights.

That's all. I wanted to brag. I won $250, a performing microphone, and cool Cow Bell Trophy.

Fred

I'm going to go out on a very thick limb and say you must be a lot better than the karaoke singers I have heard.

Congrats Fred.

You're so not a "Freddie". You are good at singing & being a pretty darn good friend. Congrats on your win. The cow bell with bling is pretty cool.

Tims <--- heard Fred sing on stage at the DCC when the one man band was playing. 8)

Congrats...sounds like you can now make a small deposit on your new EDDIE WHEAT cue with scrimshaw depicting you in the onstage performance.

Wyatt...(doesn't even have the balls to listen to himself sing in the shower)

The videos of the first round is posted. It shows all 7 finalists. I happened to draw the first performance. It's the entire set of us, so it's on a site that give some advertisement first.

The video is done by a simple camcorder, so don't expect professional sound quality. In fact, it sounds sometimes like we're sick cows. I absolutely guarantee, it sounded better live. Even the band (a very professional band in our area sound a bit sick).

All of the finalists sounded as good as I've ever heard in any karaoke. Okay, except one guy who sounded super in the warm up and sucked out on his real performance. Some chose poor songs. Iris (contestant #4) kicked ass with "Man in the Box."

Fred <~~~ finals coming soon, apparently
