LOL - the problem is that I don't know what I am doing.

I've made some joint protectors and cannot get the finish on them that I want. I'm not set up to spray the big-time clear coat that you guys do and have been trying the little cans of clear coat touch-up from the auto supply store. Wet sanding, polishing, buffing, etc. And, still a crappy finish.

Oh, well. It's the journey, right?

Scott

I have what I believe is permanent skin damage from that evil shit...

My arms, neck and face would break out in a rash and last for weeks before it would fade out slowly, but my forehead still has traces of cocobolo damage... I think alot of that is from breathing it for too long and it has embedded itself into my sinus cavities... " I think I still smell it !"

I finially sold the last piece of it I had hanging in my shop and now I am happy and relieved to say: NO MORE COCOBOLO CUES BUILT BY ME EVER AGAIN !

I have never been allergic to anything before and that beautiful, harmless looking wood KICKED MY ASS !

I can't wear protective clothing or eyeware when I'm working becasue it bother's me to the point that I can't work, so I have been very fortunate to never have sustained permanent injury until mabey now !

Goodluck fellow cuemakers on continuing to work with that nasty stuff..... I respectively bow out !
