Case in point, I have never met a full splice builder who has all of his fingers, or at the very minimum severe scarring in his hands & fingers. The prong is the most dangerous to build as one slip or lapse in concentration will put your hand right square down on a spinning tablesaw blade.

I still have all mine. Only scars on my hands are from playing frisbee. Rough game!!! My Grandkids are mean as hell when it comes to sports.

When I post to you it's regarding your moronic statements just like the one about full splices and cost as well as your egomaniacal attitude toward cue building, where you think you stand in the hierarchy of all builders, and your lazy, complacent JACK OFF shit attitude toward customers regarding how long it takes to start or finish their cue.

There's no habit of stirring crap just for giggles. I just flat out have ZERO respect for your fucked attitude, garbage work habits as it applies to business, and idiotic self aggrandizing persona that's totally undeserved. Comprende...JACK OFF?

Wasting your time. I'm a loser asshole & always will be, just for you. BTW, I think you got a man crush on me. You sure are passionate about me. Seriously, you spend a LOT of time reading my posts & writing up these hate letters. It's kinda creepy.

Eddie Wheat is back...I mean JACK OFF. How can I read your posts, there aren't any. You pulled a Smorgassbored trick by making posts with shit in them and then deleting all of it. I think it's a two way street fag boy, why are you back in here posting to ME?? You must like me whipping on your ass. Why aren't you doing any work and catching up on your cues, JACK OFF? LMAO

Here's a new one that isn't necessarily old and worn out.

You suck balls Billy. Big, hairy, sweaty balls. No one likes you. Feel free to leave at any time. You're not wanted. Fuck you.

B <------ thinks the best part of this is that Billy search, copied, and posted (in RED) an older post by Eric as a way of proving his point... yet everyone else reads it and says 'I don't see what's so wrong with what Eric is saying'. lol

Fuck you Brian...don't you have another batch of shitty diapers to change and clean and then do dishes? I see all of the pussies like you from VF who sucked each others cock after swilling beer together are now piling on like wimpy little kids who were afraid to make hard tackles in a football game. All they did was...well, pile on. Typical cunt move just as you always do.

I proved my point to anyone who comes on here as guests other than you nuthuggers who find that he can do no wrong and is a super guy. Maybe in person he is a decent dude...but he's a TOTAL FUCKING JACK OFF when it comes to business. You're like some fucking loser who probably doesn't see any wrong in Nancy Pelosi and Reid either. They're PERFECT! LMAO

No...not the Spain method splicing in the handle, but the regular ol' splicing at the points bottom. Everyone I have ever seen, the outermost veneer, which meets the splice to the nose have been chunky or perhaps more correctly, squared at the point bottom...even after turning.

Gotcha. A full splice can be done either way...sharp at the bottom of the points or square. Using a band saw it's pretty easy to do the sharp, but not so easy doing the square (and not have a glue line that is). Seems Davis prefers the sharp.

I'm probably telling you somethng you already know though.

Hey Lisa, are you describing where the front-wood meets the veneers like in this pic?

Yes Tommy, that is exactly what I mean. I realize that it does not happen all the time, I am sure, but it appears to happen more often than not. This not the clearest example, but you can still kinda see it here:

Image

Your example has nice clean, sharp lines at the point bottom...but I have seen others where I just opted not to go with one to date. Perhaps he is getting more consistent results these days, but the earlier ones where more like I described...and the wood, I heard, was more 'green'. To be fair, I cannot tell if this area is a void or filled with veneer.

Perhaps I am being overly critical? Likely so.

No, YOU think you're like Jesus in the CUE WORLD and leading your disciples to the Promise Land with your knowledge and experience.

And when you refer to yourself like this again, ". I'm a loser asshole & always will be, just for you"
I'd appreciiate it if you do it correctly and add the following so it says this: "I'm a loser asshole young punk who is still wet behind the ears & always will be until I PROVE myself in this business, just for you and the rest of the pool world".
Don't forget now...ya hear?

It's common to see what you describe in Titlist blanks and others made in the recent past. I believe you are correct that this is an aesthetic problem that is sometimes a deal breaker. Playability is not affected though, and due diligence in searching for the "right " blank is rewarding.

Sorry Lisa. I thought you were talking about the bottom of the points (see arrow).
You were talking about the "valley".

A question about the Forearm and Handle lengths/porportions..
I also buy Full Splice Blanks from Atlas..
Their Supplier has a shorter handle, so, the points are far from the Joint Collar.
Wayne's Photo shows a longer Handle, shorter Forearm..
Is it preference of the FS Butt Maker or the result of the different Full Splice Building Method?

Is there a prefered distance between the top of the Points and the Joint Collar?
