Who can make me a white hard rock maple shaft?
I have been trying to find a builder who can make me a white hard rock maple shaft without any sugar spots, v grain lines, or any standout grain lines within 10 inches from the ferrel. I think balabushka makes these shafts on some of their cues. Can anyone make me one?

Some look at then as investments and seek out reasons to explain why a cue from one maker is more valuable than the same cue from another.
Truth is most are the same and the only real difference in value is in the buyers mind.
The first thing a new cue maker learns is the real true value of a pool cue.
Looks nice, well constructed, plays well, affordable ... beyond that it is all in your head.

No more than this guy. Lots of folks don't understand lots of things, but seem to have strong opinions about those things.

Which guy ?
Bleached shafts should make this guy happy.
I have some really pearly white shafts here from Michigan. Too bad they're at .650 ends.
I'd pick him a 6 rpi to make him happy.

This guy had all his stuff for sale a while back because the billiard industry around him was in the tank and he just couldn't make any money at it. Felt it was a waste of his time....(these were not his exact words but the same point) He's one of Jimbo's best buddies! (I think he owns 4-5 of his cues)

Would you be referring to best buddies William Lee or Arnot Wadsworth?

Yeah I remember that. Equip didn't sell so he's stuck building cues. No wonder he says that crap. He's justifying his situation to himself.

Too bad you missed the arrival of the barefootbozo cuemaker, he tried to make quite a splash .... you would have loved it.

So what seems to be the big problem here anyway, don't they make white Sharpies ?

Oh yea.....that's right..he was crying cause the cues in Walmart were better than cues he could make and they sold for about 1/4 the price.

I wish I'd have saved all this stuff so I could have written book to retire on.
