First of all Deuce the email you posted in the pm got returned to me fix your crapcast email.
Second of all you missed the thread.
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=33
Third I am building a new shaft from scratch. Because that thing you gave me was twisted like a dog's hind leg. That shaft is toast. I didn't have anything in the shop with anything close to that taper so I took one from around 16mm at the tip and have been cutting that. So your new shaft is not done yet. I hope to be taking the final cut this weekend and then finishing it next week.
I told you all of this in VF making sure you understood it wasn't going to be quick. The shaft will be right. It will be the correct rings and ferrule and it will be about 2 weeks till you get it.
You have my number why not call if you are so concerned. Or hell for that matter you have my address take a ride up.

John

with out taking sides I'll say that 4 months is just to long for a shaft.

Jim <---Thinks anyone should be able to turn a shaft in 2 months

Be easy on John. He's got a very lengthy backlog of customers he needs to work on....

Mind you all that the party doing the griping here took close to two months to make good on a $50 bet.

Just sayin'.

Not really. If he is to copy the original taper then he's gotta start from thick stock. That takes a long time and the individual piece of wood dictates the time, not the builder. Cut a shaft in 2 months & the buyer will be back at square one with a pretzel.

One more cut Jay. Rings are on and only have about 5 thou to take off the shaft. What kind of tip do you want?

John
