My son went on his honeymoon to Turks & Caicos and came back with a real cute puppy.
This is an article about the place he got it, they're really doing a pretty cool thing there.

Steve, I know your post had the best of intentions but I have to ask, aren't there enough homeless dogs in this country already? Why should anyone adopt a pet from another country? The last thing I would do is go on vacation and bring home a puppy, no matter how cute it was.

Sorry, I'm not really a pet type person and I think it is a shame that there are so many homeless dogs and cats in this country.

The dog already had all it's shots and they just had to show that evidence and could bring him right on the plane (in whatever section animals go in) and take him straight home from the airport.

I hear you Rich. Personally if I were going to get a dog I'd very seriously consider one of those. I wouldn't want a pure bred and the mix is a very nice mix, though Labs are kind of dumb the Shepards might make up for it. But I'm not getting a dog, I'm too old to deal with a big dog and I don't even consider those little yappy things dogs, just nuisances. Barry Behrman looks so foolish with the little thing he carries around.
Mostly I just thought it was a nice effort by the people making the effort to save these dogs. My guess is they have quite a wild cat problem too, but at least they'd probably keep the rodent problem down.
Steve.

It's a well known fact Labrador Retrievers emulate their owner's intelligence.
