I got a new camera and took some quick snaps of my cues. The ebony cue is a James White and the cocobolo is a Larry Vigus (63Kcode). I'll be adding a Tonkin next year and I hope to learn how to take better pics before then!

Nice cues and good photos!

What kind of camera? I've decided to dip my foot into digital photography as a hobby and ordered a Nikon D5100 this week. Looking forward to taking some decent shots of my cues as well.

Love that James White. A great take on classic design elements.

Thanks Patrick, the photos were taken with a Nikon D7000. I hope to eventually get my photos on par with the likes of tikkler et al.

I agree the pics look pretty good. I've spent thousands trying to take a picture like Icon (remember him?) and I've done nothing but fail, I do wish you both luck as I love looking at great cue pics.

Jim <----Knows what Patrick will be taking the most pics of and he's a cute little man.

Thinking of great cue photos, has anyone heard from Erich (mair 23) lately? I don't remember seeing his name on the forum for a while. Hoping Erich and Christina are alright.

I don't mean to hijack this thread but Erich came to mind while thinking about great cue photos.

I figure it's probably a combination of lighting and lens. I figure I need to be able to understand, and be able to create, the appropriate lighting first before I start spending large sums of money on more lenses.

No problem at all, more good cue photos in the world is a good thing!
