I didn't want to take away from Ralf's thread, so decided to post these in a new one.

Back when I was fooling myself into thinking I could build cues or parts of them, I did this this one with PI and ebony. It is a 5 pointer and the point miters came out decent. The box veneers are reversed, thinking they would be inlayed into ebony. I had extra PI boxes and veneers so I made enough for several cues. Haha.

The pieces are sitting in my shop collecting dust. Maybe some day I will be able to add a handle and complete the butt. It''ll probably play like shit, so I won't make any shafts for it. Haha again.

Scott <<== bored and looking for criticism from PI-hating Brian...... :P

Looks very nice. Why did you give up on cue making? Looks like you have had great success on one of the more difficult task.

Larry

I could not get the consistent quality that I wanted without a lot more time and machinery. I'm sure my techniques and process contributed to the inconsistency.

Thanks for the compliment, Larry. Your work is outstanding and that means a lot.

Scott

Be careful, Jake. I may take you up on that!

I don't think I have any of the veneer packs left, but I'll look.

Scott
