I love the way Southwest cues play, of course everyone knows you have to wait 14 years till your name comes up, they are ut of ebony and don't like to make wrapless, so I mean what are you supposed to do if you really really want one but can't afford a real one? You just have another maker who lacks any skill to create his own designs knock one off, I mean all that matters is the sale right, money in the pocket, everyone has bills to pay.

But wait I know what everyone is thinking, Not you Jim, Mr. CDT , poster boy for originality and a guy who has rallied against such things.

Well it's not a copy if you don't do the split butt right???

Curly PH into Ebony nose with BE handle, enjoy!!!!

Jim <------It's completely different without that split butt right??

There are so many things in the world that inspire cue art. Another cue doesn't need to be one of them.

I started this thread before I checked out the tribute thread on az, It warms my heart to see all the experts there explain to me how it's ok to copy.
How there is no way to protect cue designs LOL, I really learned a lot.

Jim <----Feels better about his "tribute"

I think that is key on a "good tribute"

Jim <----The best tributes look really good or it's not much of a tribute

Yeah.. Gotta be a SW.. Offsetting sleeve ring work says so.. No other maker would do that.... Oops let me rephrase that, no other maker "should" do that..:)

I like this cue a lot..
