Even though I no longer own this cue, Jimbo's thread prompted me to post it. As others have stated, Skip's point work is very nice. This one had curly maple recuts that lined up the grain well. I think this was the first purpleheart based cue I owned or played with.

That is a great looking cue. I like the dark, I assume ebony, points between the veneered points. To me they almost appear to be a shadow of the other points. It is a nice effect.

It's a shame that people seem to agree that SW cues don't hit as well as they look because they really look good.

I love light points into ph , you don't see that look enough. I'm not a fan of the ebony in the but, doesn't seem to fit in with this cue?
