Oh yeah, oh yeah

"THE PIC" i first got crazy about cues,
"THAT PIC" a decade ago :roll:

This absolutely was the cue design, the one which was my disaster - I mean the one which made me crazy about cues. :P
You know, the one I saw on a pic in the Billiard Encyclopedia more then a decade ago, and knew I have to own one time.
From that moment on, my interest in cues exploded and I started to look out for nice pieces all over the world.
A good friend of mine had an example of the FIRST BLUE BOOK, and as I searched threw it for a while I found that PIC again.
The PIC from my Billiard Encyclopedia (2nd Ed.) was in the BLUE BOOK (1st Ed.), too. Since them I own all of these books. :mrgreen:

And now, many, many years later - yeah, I needed more then a decade to get this cue design - the beginning, you know.
It was not even my first Ginacue - can you believe that, and of course it´s not even the exact same cue, but at least - close.
You can believe me, I still will search for exactly that cue, but at the moment I am happy with this one.
If somebody knows where I could bet my dreamcue, my "THE ONE" cue, please let me know. :roll:

The cue in the Encycl. and BlueBook is pink ivory and ivory and has silver veneers, but I think this one is not bad either. :roll:
In my opinion this is one of Ernies´most famous designs, it´s like his Rasputin design, both are known over the whole world.
And of course, not to forget, both of these designs were awesome innovations in cuemaking history.

If somebody is interested here are the references to the pic I am talking about the whole time. :shock:
Billiard Encyclopedia (2nd Edition) - site 361
Blue Book of Pool Cues (1st Edition) - site 44 (Photo 19)

I hope the pics I took where not that bad this time, and the collage worked out well too. :?:

Enjoy, Erich

You're doing great stuff with your photos, that pic looks good.

My personal favorite Gina design (next to the feathers cue). Awesome! Signature Ernie design using a classic wood combo with a perfect veneer scheme!

@jimbo,
my collages are getting better, thx jimbo, but my pictures itself are not realy godd :roll:

@pharao
we have the same taste in cues, I think.
This for me is one of Ernies greatest design achivements - I love it,
but you are completely right about the feather cue design - but these are hard to get,
and I think they could be a little bit out of my reach, you know.

Erich
