 Thomas Wayne´s - "RED BULL"

As I am interested in cues for quite some time, I already knew who Thomas Wayne was.
I knew that many of his cue designs, most of the time are new innovations to the billiard industry,
and that it´s not that easy to get one of his masterpieces, because he is not making that many, too.

This cue was unveiled by Thomas Wayne at the “Showcase at the Ritz” cue collectors show.
That was on November 8, 2003 in Marina Del Ray, CA and the cue is still in brand new, unplayed condition. :!:

So as I saw this cue available on http://www.cueaddicts.com , immediatly I fell in love - again.
In my opinion Thomas Wayne is one of the greatest cuemakers of our time, and as I said before -
definitely - he is one of the great "innovators" in cuebuilding history. I hope he will be recognized for that in the future.

Often I see similarities in cues from Thomas Wayne and Jerry McWorter and I like many of these cues,
and there was no difference with this one - an absolute stunning masterpiece.

I have no idea who brought the name "RED BULL" up for that cue, but the RED AMBOYNA,
that "crown" where the points came out of the amboyna - Red Bull, the perfect fit to that cue.

I was like  oh my god  when Sean told me the cue was gone, but as he told me that
Bill Grassley from "Cornerstone" got it, I was happy again, because I already dealt with Bill and I knew
he would do all he can to make a deal possible for me - and he did.

Thomas Wayne is one of the true artists of cuemaking. From the completely outside the box 'Dem Bones' type of cues to something like this, slightly more 'traditional' for lack of a better term, yet totally unique! Great cue!

His silver work is amazing too, a little bit like Jerrys, you know - maybe thats the reason why they are friends

Jerry gives a lot of credit to Thomas for his designs and cuemaking in general.

Thanks for the kind words, Jimbo.

You know, after all the discussions with Thomas and about him I really thought about trading that one.
But every time I took it out of the case and looked at it closer................... NO WAY.

The design, the wood, the silver word, what can I say........ the whole execution, simply perfect
I have to keep it, even if Thomas is kicking my ass verbaly every time we talk or write

Eric"h" ----- hopes to meet Mr.Wayne one time
