My first Anniversary cue "THE ANNIVERSARY GILBERT SET"

As I told you before in the other Gilbert Cue post, I really loved my 2009 EXPO visit.
I was not able to meet many friends over there, because I didn´t know that much,
but all the guys I met are friends now - at least from my point of view.

Bill Grassley from cornerstone was fantastic. He didn´t have much time (understandable),
but tried his best to make this trip to the EXPO a remembering one for me and my friend. :!:

Thanks to him, we met so many great people, collectors, cuemakers and many others too,
and I will owe him something forever - thanks Bill, maybe you will read these lines.

Since that EXPO and the days after it, I am in good contact with many guys from the states.
Lu, Stan, Paul, Will, Bill of course, many more......, and especially with Sean Brown from cueaddicts, too.
I got my first Gilbert from him, and as he tried to sell his set on AZ, it was clear that I had to have it.

Anniversary Cues most often seem to show typical things from the maker,
and I think that's absolutely true for this set.

Andy started with great Jump/Breakers a long time ago, and his favorite wood still is purpleheart.
Both things you can find throughout this set - purpleheart overall, and an awesome JB where you can see the point construction.
The ivory inlays and the engravings are marvelous as well, and all in all I would say - it´s a typical Gilbert cue.

Perfect for my collection - what do you think :!: :?:

Erich
