My nice and easy "JIM BUSS"
As mentioned in the title I won that cue in a raffle on AZ Billiards, and it´s in my collection since then.
I am not sure if it classifies as a typical Jim Buss Cue, but that's hard to say most of the time.
I really fell in love with the cue Jim made for the SMITHSONIAN,and at the same time he made some designs with
red colored inlays in ebony, which I liked a lot, too.
Maybe I will have the chance to get my hands on a fancier one from Jim in the future.
A friend of mine ordered his third BUSS cue app. two years ago and he will never play anything else.
Jim always makes him his beloved
14mm shafts, yes 14mm, and after he plays it down to app. 13mm he
orders a new one from Jim, every 3 to 4 years.
This probably is the reasons why I always wanted to have a JIM BUSS cue,
because I knew his cues already and their playability as well - really awesome.
And there is another reason: he is one of
the original 12 cuemakers who where in the Smiths.
I think that´s like winning a GOLD MEDAL at the Olympics - therefore a must have cue in my eyes.I think that´s the only cue I have with that style of veneered rings and I like it a lot.
