Thanks Murray.

edited after re-thinking my attitude. Hopefully some of the old regulars will start posting again, as I'm bored and I'm sure nothing has changed in their lives other than Facebook. And chat was fun, wasn't it?

So here is my latest case acquisition, with my latest cue acquisition poking out of it on the left. My playing cue (Tucker bacote) is also slightly visible in the Rusty Melton case.

Regarding Rusty's cases, this one made my mouth water and I hate to wait for anything, so I grabbed it. Very happy and now would like an even simpler 1x2 from him in dark brown. But again, I hate to wait:

Lomax and a Judd made a brief stop in the case.

That's a really handsome case

YAS ! (yet another sneaky 8) )

Picked up a Lambros sneaky yesterday. Ebony into curly maple, ultra-joint, 3/4 ferrule, and is set up for an extension (it didn't come with one but being a shorter man  I think I need one 8) ).

It was originally ordered from Mike by a young fella here who caught the pool bug, then after discussing cues etc. with Steph (thefonz) and myself started buying cues :P Unfortunately he now has a serious foot injury and can't get around well at all, so he sold his cues and golf clubs. This is now in the rack alongside the others  It looks better in person than in the iPhone pics below

I have been playing with this Tibbitts for about a month. Someone replaced the original linen wrap (Danny doesn't do leather) with leather, and original satin finish with gloss. I don't like that, but I wanted the cue:

What’s the joint material?? I’ve never owned one of Danny’s cues, I’ve seen a few and found the point work to be nice and the quality ok but imo they have always been a bit over priced. On this cue I think I️ would agree with Danny and would like linen better, if also like to see the butt cap a bit thiner , but most say the same about me ;-)

Jim<—— nice cue

I could have sworn I replied to your post, but don't see it - I guess this could be a duplicate.

Joint is ivory. Hard to argue with it being overpriced - I have played with plenty of cues with similar configuration that were great and cost under $1,000.

I would rate the play and craftsmanship as right up there with the best I've owned.

I am glad they got out of my case before I noticed!

(thanks for relinquishing it!)

Beautiful Tascarella. Normally, I don't care for rings or inlays, but they look great here. I particularly like linen that doesn't look like it would glow in the dark. All the parts come together nicely in this cue. Congratulations on the acquisition.

Danny lives literally about 5 miles from me and I've visited his shop a couple of times. Interesting guy and I've always wondered about his cues. Some people I respect swear by them.

Scott <<== also LOVES linen wraps

Thanks, Greg. I really like the cue and it fits my classic style design and play.

I intend to bring this cue next time I visit Marietta, to get Danny's assessment of a refinish/re-wrap. I will give you a holler first and maybe we can play a little. I picked up another of his cues before this one and it hits very similar even though it is a big-pin with very different specs.

That Tascarella is beautiful.
