The forum desperately need some pool related content and one with a positive vibe . Lets see if we can get something going.

Murray Tucker. Purchased directly from Murray at the 2014 SBE Show.
6-Pack Veneers and Whitewall Hoppe Ring. Ebony & Straight Grain Maple.
I didn't have any pictures. So I used Murray's. Hope he doesn't mind.

Ya know what this thread needs? Some crappy pictures of a nice cue.

Jeez these pics suck. Lol. For real. My lighting technique at the time seemed to be "no flash. no natural light. no ANY kind of light". But the rosewood was pretty. The abalone was nice as well. But the veneers on this one were gorgeous. Miss this cue.

Rosewood into Birdseye Mottey.

-B <--------- been WAAAAAY too long sine I bough a cue

Great idea for a thread. These are pictures of the last cue I bought which is also probably the last cue I will buy. It plays great as originally built and provides a natural match for my Barry Szamboti shafts. It has become my main player. I had given up hope of landing one of John’s cues for a reasonable price. Thanks to Steve (Catscradle) who was easy to deal with. Also special thanks to Chris (CMD) who had first dibs on the cue and could have made a few dollars on it, but let me have it when it was evident that I wanted the cue as a player.

Greg <---- hopes Chris doesn't expect a return favor if a reasonably priced Searing becomes available

The last cue I purchased is the second least expensive cue I ever bought and I'm pretty certain it WILL BE the final purchase until I'm given the last rites. The only reason it was bought was because I had to see what Shane saw in it to win all of those tournaments. Although it isn't his style and color it's the same model, R360. Surprisingly it is a GREAT playing cue that produces a lot of easy action with minimal stroking effort and is a straight shooter. A little flick of the wrist will have the CB zinging backwards, sideways, and forward unlike just about any cue I've ever hit.

I always have trouble sizing pictures for this forum so here's the link which is better than any picture I could possible take.

I stand corrected. Billy's post made me realize that the last cue I bought was actually NOT the Mottey but this mutt of a sneaky pete by Bob Frey. I call it a "mutt" because while Frey made the butt, the shaft was made by Tom Migliori. And the threading was totally stripped. I posted something in here once asking if there was anything that could be done and Dave Barenbrugge told me to ship him the cue. I did, and he re-tapped it and sent it back at no charge. Why? Perhaps because Dave Barenbrugge is just that gosh darn awesome!

Played with the cue for quite some time afterwards and it played very, VERY good. Took me all the way to the APA singles nationals. Shortly after that, I took a long hiatus from pool so I sold this badass cue to a portly bald gentleman who enjoys purpleheart and skulls. I doubt he even has it anymore.

- B <-------------- also portly but only baldING. Not bald yet.

PS - Thanks for the pool-related thread. Not only is it badly needed, but its actually a pretty cool one.

Cuetec R360 Brown

I had a bit of an issue as I also bought the extension. Apparently, newer Cuetecs don't take the Smart Extension due to the Patent infringement with a custom cuemaker (and it wasn't Lambros).

But, I was able to get an older bumper and it fit perfectly, so this Cuetec has World Championship written all over it.

Some shitty pictures of my newest Ebony Webb. Trust me, it's beautiful in person. I just suck at taking good pics.

Two years since my last purchase...I love this cue. Using Brent's pics as I don't have any of my own.

Same RAT, but good to see this thread :) Taking this one out tomorrow with the wifey and friend. First time playing in a long time, obnoxiously so... but I did just send an email to Diamond to get a table, so that will help a little bit ;)

Nice cues guys. I can't seem to find my camera, so I've been trying to email myself a pic from my phone with no luck. I'll post a pic one of these days.

Can you text it (not email it) from your phone to your email?
