Rescued another Fanelli from the wild and brought it back to the east coast. Got a nice Whitten case to go along with the cue. . Still on the hunt for more!

Beautiful cue. Love Paul's work. Wish I had gotten one from him before he passed.

Congrats!

Scott

Gorgeous cue.

I'm a HUGE fan of Paul's. Getting rid of my Fanelli was easily the WORST cue decision I ever made... and I've made plenty of bad cue decisions.

I agree with you VERY BAD DECISION. I never get tired of seeing Pauls work and remembering a friend.

Paul will always have a spot in my heart. I just had an old Palmer re-wrapped in Cortland and did something really, really stupid with the wrap. This happened the night before a NEWT tournament at Castle Billiards. In a panic, I asked Paul to help me with the wrap and he did, emergency on my part not requiring any action on his part. All said, he fixed my stupidity by Saturday morning and would not accept any monetary compensation for his time. What a class act. I would like to think I bought him a drink later that Saturday afternoon or Sunday, but I don't remember.

Damn he made such pretty butterflies!

i only got to meet Paul maybe two- three years before he went.....it was at SBX and we spent a lot of time together talking philosophy and how weird life can be....another one who died too young and what amazing things we might have seen had he lived....we had a lot of things in common

You have no idea how bad. I was young and impulsive and kept wanting to try something new.
I ALWAYS loved Paul's cues but someone offered me a 5 point Gilbert with LOTS of ivory + cash for my cue. I saw pics and agreed.

15 years later, I would have laughed the offer off because looking back, the cue I gave away was a gem. The cue I got in return was not even close.

Next time, just ask. I'm fully aware of what each and every one of my dickish qualities are. I embrace them all.

Tracked down this 2006 example. Sorry about the terrible pics. Poor lighting in the local pool hall. Its beautiful in person and the leather wrap is silky smooth.

I was looking at some Fanelli cues, prompted by this thread, and I'd love to have this in my life:
