By one of the finest design thieves in the biz... Mr. Sly.

Andy Gilbert and I designed the ebony cue on the left below in 2009 and Andy finished the cue in 2010. Mr. Sly recently assembled the cue on the right, and I believe a twin to that cue in ebony as well.

Leon Sly is merely the "next generation" of Phillipi Cues (who have been stealing designs for many, many years).

He's a thief, but since he has never had an original idea of his own he can't appreciate how his victims feel. Like all thieves, he simply values his own wants and needs over the legitimate rights of others. There's really no other way to see it.

I posted a response to the owner of this cue on Facebook pointing out the blatant rip off of Andy and my design, his response… deleted posts. Pathetic.

Who commissioned the cue? I would think the person who requested to have this cue made shares (bears the bulk of) the CDT responsibility.

If THAT was true, in a "sting" operation they would arrest the undercover cops along with the hookers.

It's about integrity and reasonable respect for other cuemakers' original work, and Leon Sly clearly doesn't have much of either.

I bet he never built a Jerry Franklin SW cue copy.
