It has been an interesting summer here in the Canadian prairies. We took possession of our new house June 1 and renovations started immediately. First up was removing about 700 square feet of carpet (300 on main floor and 400 in basement including the pool room). First the old bar had to go ... one pic of a bit of it, then it's gone !

Carpet is heavy, glued-down underlay is a pain to scrape off (literally for us office workers  ), and then there's the bricks to be jack hammered off the floor and hauled outside ... it took me (working alone) about 5 days.

I needed to get the flooring done so my mechanic could move the table out of the old house and install it in the new house in one session. So I worked several long days putting in vinyl tile (1'x2' click lock). Got it done in time for the move. Overall started the renos (post 1) about June 3rd, and had the floor done and table in about the 21st. Of course I was also moving my house (rented a shipping container) and helping packing up my wife's house at the same time :|

Looking good, Dave...

only thing I would change is block out that window. I had a pool hall & the sun bleaches the color right out of the table cloth.

Thanks Jack. The widow does face south but the blinds have been closed since Al installed the table. Some weekend afternoon I will have to check that the blinds are working as hoped. Thanks for the warning, my other rooms had either north or no windows.

Wow, that’s a loud buckle, I don’t even think I have a dress that would go wit it.

Dave my bedroom is only temperaray and should be back to pool room status in a month or so when I’ll be able to get back on the horse. I can’t wait!!!

Jim<—- long road home
