I really like the way you used the wood in joint collar and in the butt cap to match the handle. I really dig the birdseye and purpleheart handle cue. Is it available?

I had everything from Mizerak cues to Scruggs to Meucci & McDermotts to Paradise. I had all kinds of cool cues. My favorites were Scruggs & JossWest & an old 3/8-10 Mali.

I don't have any cues. I have one bocote sneaky with nice rings & one shaft, but that's it. I don't even know why I have it. I never use it. I think Jamie at New2youq's has a cue or two, not sure.

Eric, Thanks for answering me on your post.
I see your "Scallop Flies"....
I tried to,do that..
Do you use a cutter to cut the Flats?
Or, are you using a Sander set-up to sand the Flats?
I tried using a router bit to cut the flats, but, they chip out the wood
when cutting cross grain.
I am building/modifying a machine to sand those flats.
Do you have a specialized machine to do that.

 Kinda tough, huh? I do have a jig for them but it is simple & mounts to one of my machines. The bevels are indeed cut, not sanded. Sanding wasn't accurate enough, atleast without making a much more complicated jig. Cutting is the only way I know to accomplish perfect clean bevels, but the cutter has to be SHARP. At this angle, you are cutting almost as much end grain as you are edge grain so the chipping out is an issue you can only avoid by sanding or with a very sharp cutter.

Eric...I think your "Micro Rings" look great...But if someone came to you with a design for some rings that has never been done before and would be extremely hard to create...meaning alot of trial and error....would you be willing to experiment with someones ideas on ringwork to be put into a cue?

Also..I know you dont particularly do inlays..but if someone came to you with some gold that they had panned out of a creek in Alaska  there are some nice sized pieces of gold...would you be willing to incorporate that into a cue somehow?

And a final stupid question....

Is it true that while working in your shop, you wear a thong and dance to Macarena while drinking very exotic beer?

Seriously....glad your wife is home....Tell her the Smith's in Ft Gibson said Hello and welcome home!
