is mr. showman's cue done yet?

Hi Jay
It's an ongoing passion for wood combined with veneers. Cue design theft is not something I really give a lot of thought to. It plays more of a role to guys who prefer to build contemporary art looking cues and extravagant inlays.

Is it done yet?
You just can't rush quality.

Reminds me of a scene from "The Agony and The Ecstasy"... Michaelangelo is painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and the Pope, pushy customer that he is, keeps coming in and asking "Is it done yet?", "When will it be done". Michaelangelo answers "It will be done when it is done" or something like that. That should become your stock answer. lol.

BTW, mine will be done before Johnbo's won't it?

Mr. Webb,

Inlays ... luv 'em or hate 'em or indifferent?

As you know, I'm fortunate enough to own below creation from you. As they say, everything white is ivory including points. I luv everything about the cue except for metal rings and slightly rounded inlays in the butt sleeve (just being honest). Someone told me your inlays are sharp now?

Overall, the cue plays great and got me in luv with flat faced ivory joint.

Hi Jazz
I heard you bought that cue on the secondary market, Nice score, Certain aspects of that cue is very nice, re-cut ebony with ivory is a nice touch, though what I am doing for points now is longer and wider, the inlays were okay for the time period. Some people like the bling from inlays, I personally see no need for them other than a reason to charge more money, I don't have any in my personal cue either. I'm not simple minded just simple in my needs.

Mine is the second from the top

I don't like blings either no mo ... although there was a gal named "ling" whom I liked a lot until I found out she was very cunning.

I'm just a simpleton.

Here's my standard question ... which up and coming cue makers do you like, if any?

Here's my final question (which I wondered about myself few years ago when I was a newbie) ...

Are you and Bill Webb same person, related, unrelated or complete stranger?

I would be interested in a full splice made by you. Would this be possible?
