I think I am breaking an unwritten rule by putting multiple cues in one thread, but I hope Jim forgives me since these cues are no longer mine.

The "Hoppe" style cue is a classic, IMO. Here are several variations, by different cue makers, of that look. Some of them might even pass the ISO-1pRoscoe Hoppe Test. :P

First is a Tascarella that is one of the top 3 playing cues that I've ever used. A big regret selling this one - too cheap. This cue had been a player over its life; for good reason. Sweet, sweet cue

Next is a Paul Mottey from 2008, the last year of Paul's full-time cue making career. I got this cue from Gary "Bushwhacker" Nolan and it was a great example of Paul's super clean execution and played exceptional. As much as I'd like to, I can't keep them all.

Scott

A couple more Hoppe-style examples from Tim Scruggs and Scott Whisler.

I loved the play of this Scruggs, but 1pRoscoe didn't like it at all. Not sure why because he was shooting with a Cuetec that day..... :P

Scott Whisler builds a lot of full splice cues, but this one is a short splice. I bought the cue knowing that it had a slight warp at the "A" joint. Talking to Scott before I bought it, he offered to repair it, refinish and rewrap the cue. He did a great job and the cue played well. One interesting thing on this cue, that I had never seen before, was its piloted joint with a radial screw.
